The competition consists of a descent over a drop of 700 feet, in order to reach maximum speed and then cross, on skis or board, Lake Picalo over a length of 65 m.

Important: Please note that if you are unable to electronically sign the registration form, you will need to print it and sign it by hand before returning it to us. If you are unable to do so, you absolutely must have completed the form and signed it before starting your trials/competition. We also remind you that a parent's signature is MANDATORY for participants aged 18 and under (minors).
To win the Aqua-Neige, the participant must make it as far as they can across the lake. As years have gone by numerous frequent participants are able to cross the lake completely. The competition is comprised of two heats, the winner is determined by the combined distance achieved in both runs.
Aqua-Neige has been a tradition and popular event in the Matapedia region for more than 40 years.
